Overview
Garmin AIRMAR B75M 12° Tilt Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer (010-11636-21)
Introduction
The Garmin AIRMAR B75M 12° Tilt Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer delivers medium-frequency sonar performance specifically engineered for boats with hull deadrise angles between 8° and 15°. The internally tilted element maintains proper sonar beam alignment without external fairing blocks, providing detailed underwater imaging and dependable target detection for both coastal and offshore fishing. Its 600 W power output combined with 80–130 kHz frequency operation strikes an optimal balance between target resolution and depth penetration, making it a practical choice for anglers and boaters who need reliable sonar performance without system complexity.
Key Features
- 600 W sonar power output for clear underwater imaging
- Medium-frequency operation spanning 80–130 kHz for balanced detail and depth reach
- Internal 12° tilted element designed specifically for 8° to 15° hull deadrise vessels
- Maximum depth capability of 900 ft with consistent bottom tracking
- Beamwidth ranging from 24° to 16° for broad coverage area beneath the vessel
- Flush thru-hull bronze construction minimizing drag and installation complexity
- Traditional sonar and spread spectrum scanning compatibility
- 8-pin connector for seamless integration with Garmin sonar modules including GSD 26
Data Insights
The B75M's 80–130 kHz frequency range delivers superior target separation throughout the water column while maintaining effective depth penetration to 900 ft, making it well-suited for recreational fishing and offshore applications where both structure detail and bottom clarity matter. The 24° to 16° beamwidth provides comprehensive underwater scanning, allowing users to detect fish and identify bottom contours with greater confidence. When paired with compatible Garmin sonar equipment supporting spread spectrum technology, the transducer enhances fish detection accuracy and improves structural imaging compared to traditional single-frequency systems.
Usage Instructions
Install the transducer on vessels with hull deadrise between 8° and 15° to ensure proper sonar beam alignment. Connect the 8-pin connector to your compatible Garmin sonar module or chartplotter, then configure sonar settings according to your fishing and navigation needs. The internally tilted design eliminates the need for external fairing installation, reducing setup time and potential installation-related complications.
Design & Material
The Garmin AIRMAR B75M features a rugged bronze thru-hull construction built to withstand demanding marine salt-water environments. Its flush-mounted profile minimizes hull drag, while the internally tilted 12° element ensures proper sonar beam alignment without requiring external hardware additions, delivering efficient installation and long-term reliability.
- Solid bronze thru-hull housing for corrosion resistance and durability
- Flush-mounted installation profile reducing hydrodynamic drag
- Internal 12° tilted sonar element eliminating external fairing requirements
- Precision engineering for vessels with 8° to 15° hull deadrise angles
- Stainless steel 8-pin connector ensuring secure, weather-resistant connections
- Designed for long-term submersion in saltwater and freshwater environments
Final Verdict
The Garmin AIRMAR B75M 12° Tilt Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer is the ideal upgrade for boaters operating vessels with moderate hull deadrise who require dependable sonar performance without complex installation. Its combination of 600 W power, medium-frequency operation, and internal 12° tilt design specifically addresses the needs of anglers and cruisers who demand accurate bottom tracking and fish detection in coastal and offshore conditions. With durable bronze construction, flush thru-hull mounting, and full compatibility with Garmin sonar systems, this transducer delivers the underwater visibility and reliable performance your next fishing trip or navigation challenge demands.
