Overview

Garmin AIRMAR B75M 20° Tilt Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer

Introduction

The Garmin AIRMAR B75M 20° Tilt Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer solves a critical installation challenge for boaters with steep hull deadrise: it delivers accurate sonar performance without requiring an external fairing block. Built for vessels with 16° to 24° hull deadrise, this medium-frequency transducer maintains proper sonar beam alignment through an internal 20° tilted element, combining durable bronze construction with reliable underwater imaging in both coastal and offshore conditions.

Key Features

  • 600 W sonar power output for dependable signal strength and target detection
  • Medium-frequency operation from 80–130 kHz, balancing target detail with depth penetration
  • Maximum depth capability of 900 ft for both shallow and deep water applications
  • Beamwidth spanning 24° to 16°, providing broad sonar coverage for fish and structure identification
  • Designed for hull deadrise between 16° and 24°, eliminating the need for external fairing
  • 8-pin connector for seamless integration with compatible Garmin sonar modules including GSD 26
  • Flush thru-hull mounting design reduces drag and drag-related performance loss
  • Supports both traditional sonar and spread spectrum scanning technologies

Data Insights

The B75M's 80–130 kHz frequency range delivers exceptional performance metrics for recreational and serious anglers. Operating at 600 W, this transducer achieves consistent bottom tracking and target separation even in challenging water conditions. The 20° internal tilt angle optimizes sonar beam alignment for vessels where standard transducers would require costly external modifications, while the 24° to 16° beamwidth provides adequate scanning coverage at depths up to 900 ft, supporting both open water and structure-focused fishing strategies.

Usage Instructions

Installation requires matching the transducer to a vessel with hull deadrise between 16° and 24° to ensure optimal sonar beam alignment. Connect the 8-pin transducer connector to a compatible Garmin sonar module or chartplotter, then configure sonar settings through your Garmin electronics according to your fishing or navigation needs. Proper installation following the included instructions maximizes sonar performance while protecting your vessel's hull integrity during the mounting process.

Design & Material

The AIRMAR B75M features a rugged bronze thru-hull housing engineered to withstand saltwater and freshwater marine environments. Its flush-mounted design integrates cleanly into your hull while the internally tilted 20° element eliminates the visual and hydrodynamic drawbacks of external fairing blocks, delivering a clean, professional installation with long-term durability.

  • Bronze thru-hull construction resists corrosion in harsh marine conditions
  • Flush-mounted installation minimizes water resistance and drag
  • Internal 20° tilted element maintains sonar beam alignment without external modifications
  • 600 W power output ensures reliable signal transmission and detection range
  • 8-pin connector provides secure, weather-resistant connection to Garmin electronics
  • Meets hull deadrise specifications from 16° to 24° for proper sonar performance

Final Verdict

If your vessel has steep hull deadrise between 16° and 24°, the Garmin AIRMAR B75M eliminates the compromise between clean installation and reliable sonar performance. Its 600 W medium-frequency output, 900 ft depth capability, and compatibility with Garmin sonar systems make it the direct solution for anglers and boaters who need accurate underwater imaging without fairing blocks or extensive hull modifications. Choose the B75M for dependable sonar clarity and professional installation on every outing.
