Overview

Garmin Carbon Fiber Mast Bracket (3 Units) (010-12236-01) – Triple GNX 120 Display Mount

Introduction

The Garmin Carbon Fiber Mast Bracket (3 Units) solves a critical challenge for sailors who run multiple instrument displays: visibility and weight penalty. This bracket mounts directly to your mast and holds three compatible Garmin GNX 120 displays in a single, unified location, eliminating the need for scattered mounting solutions across the helm. By consolidating your sailing instruments on the mast rather than spreading them across multiple locations, you gain unobstructed sightlines from the helm, reduce visual clutter at the wheel, and maintain instant access to navigation and performance data while underway. The carbon fiber construction minimizes weight addition to the mast itself, a critical concern for racing sailors where every pound matters.

Key Features

  • Triple Display Capacity – Holds up to three Garmin GNX 120 instrument displays in vertical arrangement
  • Lightweight Carbon Fiber Material – Minimizes mast load while maintaining structural strength in demanding marine conditions
  • Mast-Mounted Installation – Positions displays at eye level from the helm for quick reference without head movement
  • Corrosion-Resistant Construction – Built to withstand saltwater exposure and UV damage in offshore environments
  • Seamless Garmin Ecosystem Integration – Designed for 100% compatibility with Garmin GNX 120 instruments and existing Garmin network configurations
  • Professional Glass Mast Appearance – Modern industrial design that integrates with contemporary sailing yacht aesthetics without detracting from hull or rigging lines

Data Insights

Sailors who consolidate multiple instruments on a single mast mount report improved reaction times to wind and performance changes compared to distributed display setups, as critical data points remain in peripheral vision rather than requiring head turns to separate locations. The carbon fiber bracket construction maintains structural integrity while adding negligible weight to the mast—a consideration that directly impacts sail shape and boat acceleration, particularly in light air conditions under 8 knots where every fraction of a pound affects responsiveness.

Usage Instructions

Secure the bracket to your mast using the included installation hardware, following the supplied mounting instructions to ensure proper alignment and load distribution. Attach up to three compatible Garmin GNX 120 displays to the bracket slots, then connect each display to your Garmin marine network according to the display manual. Verify all mounting bolts are tight and each display sits flush in its slot before departure. Confirm visibility angles from both the helm and forward positions on deck to ensure optimal viewing geometry for your boat layout.

Design & Material

Manufactured from premium carbon fiber, this bracket combines structural efficiency with marine durability. The material selection directly addresses the competing demands of sailing: minimal weight contribution to mast load and maximum resistance to saltwater corrosion and UV degradation. The bracket's vertical orientation with three stacked display slots creates a compact installation profile that doesn't obstruct airflow or catch rigging, while the dark carbon finish blends seamlessly with modern mast designs.

  • Premium Carbon Fiber Construction – High-strength material that resists marine corrosion without regular maintenance
  • Triple Display Slots – Vertical stacking arrangement maximizes visibility while minimizing deck space footprint
  • Secure Mechanical Fastening – Stable mounting points designed specifically for GNX 120 display attachment and alignment
  • Mast-Compatible Design – Geometry accommodates standard mast profiles without requiring modification or damaging the spar
  • Corrosion-Resistant Hardware – Stainless steel mounting bolts and fasteners rated for saltwater and coastal environments
  • Professional Industrial Styling – Clean lines and minimalist form factor suit both racing and cruising yacht installations

Final Verdict

If you operate multiple Garmin GNX 120 displays and want a professional, weight-conscious mounting solution that keeps your sailing data visible and your helm clean, this carbon fiber bracket delivers on both fronts. The consolidation of three instruments into one mast-mounted location eliminates the clutter and visibility compromises of distributed setups, while the material choice respects the weight sensitivity of modern sailing yachts. This bracket is essential for racing programs where every pound matters and non-negotiable for cruisers seeking a streamlined, maintainable instrument layout that performs in harsh offshore conditions.
