Performance / Benefits

The GPSMAP H1 is built for durability and dependable performance in the most demanding outdoor settings. With multi-band GPS and multi-GNSS support, you get precise positioning even under tree cover, at high altitudes, or in deep canyons. SatIQ optimization extends battery life so you can navigate longer between charges, whether charting a multi-day avalanche of waypoints or following a remote trail.

The 3.5-inch color touchscreen offers quick map interactions, while the physical buttons provide tactile control when gloves are on or weather is harsh. Preloaded TopoActive maps deliver terrain contours, elevations, and geographic points, helping you plan routes, identify landmarks, and anticipate changes in elevation on the fly. For deeper mapping, download high-resolution satellite imagery and enable Outdoor Maps+ for premium content that updates automatically over Wi‑Fi.

Safety and situational awareness are enhanced with the built-in LED flashlight and loud siren, plus the ABC sensors that keep you informed about elevation and weather changes. Real-time weather forecasts help you adapt plans to shifting conditions, while Garmin Explore enables seamless trip planning, map syncing, and location sharing with teammates. LiveTrack lets friends follow your progress, increasing coordination on group adventures or guided expeditions.

Whether you’re geocaching in remote backcountry, conducting field surveys, or simply exploring new trails, the GPSMAP H1 delivers trusted Garmin navigation in a compact, rugged package. The in-the-box components—GPSMAP H1, charging cable, loop carabiner, and documentation—are ready to deploy right away, so you can focus on the route, not the setup.
