Overview
Garmin GT34UHD-TH (12-pin) Ultra High-Definition Thru-Hull Sonar Transducer
Introduction
The Garmin GT34UHD-TH (12-pin) transducer combines three integrated sonar arrays into a single thru-hull installation designed to deliver exceptional underwater imaging clarity. Built for anglers and fishing professionals, this Ultra High-Definition system produces crisp ClearVü images directly beneath your vessel while simultaneously scanning wide areas with SideVü technology. The dedicated downward-facing sonar element cuts through water column interference to reveal fish, structure, and bottom composition with remarkable detail, enabling faster target location and improved situational awareness on the water.
Key Features
- Ultra High-Definition ClearVü operating at 800 kHz frequency for enhanced target definition at greater depths
- Ultra High-Definition SideVü scanning at 1200 kHz frequency providing detailed images across both sides of the vessel
- Three integrated sonar array configuration for comprehensive underwater coverage
- Downward-facing sonar element dedicated to improving nadir imaging quality and fish target separation
- Thru-hull installation rated for hull deadrise angles up to 5 degrees for stable mounting and consistent performance
- 12-pin connector providing secure, reliable integration with GCV 20 sonar module and compatible Garmin chartplotters
Data Insights
The GT34UHD-TH's dual-frequency design operates at 800 kHz for ClearVü and 1200 kHz for SideVü, delivering high-resolution underwater imagery that significantly improves fish detection and structure identification compared to single-frequency systems. The three-array configuration enables simultaneous downward and side-scanning operation, allowing anglers to survey wider underwater areas without making multiple passes over the same location. When paired with the GCV 20 sonar module, this transducer produces the level of image clarity and target separation necessary for both recreational fishing and professional fish-finding applications.
Usage Instructions
Install the GT34UHD-TH as a permanent thru-hull transducer following Garmin's supplied installation guidelines, ensuring your vessel's hull deadrise does not exceed 5 degrees. Connect the 12-pin connector to your GCV 20 sonar module and compatible Garmin chartplotter, then configure your sonar display settings to activate both Ultra High-Definition ClearVü and SideVü scanning modes. Allow adequate time for system stabilization after installation to ensure optimal sonar performance and image quality.
Design & Material
The GT34UHD-TH is engineered with marine-grade construction to withstand the saltwater and freshwater environments encountered during extended fishing trips. Its permanent thru-hull design provides stable sonar performance without the drift or interference associated with portable transducers, while the integrated three-array configuration minimizes physical footprint while maximizing scanning capability.
- Permanent thru-hull mounting configuration for fixed, stable installation
- 12-pin connector with secure locking mechanism for dependable electrical connection
- Three integrated sonar arrays engineered for simultaneous multi-directional scanning
- Dual-frequency design supporting both 800 kHz and 1200 kHz operation
- Hull compatibility rated for deadrise angles up to 5 degrees
- Durable marine-grade construction resistant to corrosion and constant water exposure
Final Verdict
The Garmin GT34UHD-TH (12-pin) is the sonar transducer for anglers who require advanced underwater visibility and cannot compromise on image quality or coverage area. Its three-array configuration, dual Ultra High-Definition frequencies, and proven compatibility with Garmin's GCV 20 sonar module deliver the precision imaging needed to locate fish efficiently and identify underwater structure with confidence. Whether you fish deep offshore waters or complex inland reservoirs, investing in this transducer means gaining a permanent advantage in reading beneath your boat—maximize your fishing success by upgrading to the clarity and coverage only the GT34UHD-TH provides.
